This workshop is targeted at law students (seniors only) and junior lawyers (in the first 5 years) already practicing in a law firm. This will be an excellent opportunity for you to learn about what considerations are relevant in making the practice of law a sound livelihood. Paul Hastings reserves the right to select candidates that may attend the workshop.

III. Format

This workshop will take the form of a presentation followed by active discussions. Each workshop will last 60 minutes, meeting once a month for 3 months in the evening. The first session is at 6pm on Thursday, February 23, 2012. The venue is Paul Hastings Tokyo Office. |

IV. Purpose of this Workshop

Paul Hastings would like to give you a well-reasoned and updated pointer for your career development in the international legal practice. If you are interested in developing an English based international legal career, it would be a good introduction to what you will experience as an international lawyer. For Paul Hastings, this will be an on-hands recruiting effort. |

V. Attendee Requirements
|
||||||||||||
|
A basic understanding of international legal career and market is useful. The workshop will take place solely in English. Thus, sound competence in written and verbal English communication is important. As a general guideline, we contemplate attendees to satisfy generally TOEIC 940 and above, or TOEFL 100 and above. We anticipate the minimum attendance of 8. Paul Hastings will ask for applicants’ c.v. and other relevant materials (transcripts, writing samples) unless waived. |
